Academy Award® Nominee for Best Documentary of 2009, THE COVE follows an elite team of activists, filmmakers and freedivers as they embark on a covert mission to penetrate a remote and hidden cove in Taiji, Japan, shining a light on a dark and deadly secret.
"Karina's dedication to the expedition in Taiji was nothing short of amazing. While participating in the paddle out ceremony in the Cove, Karina was literally our eyes and ears in the water, communicating with our team via radio to help coordinate the execution of the days events and recording all the action from a small camera she wore on her head. Her dedication to the cause and ability to help the rest of the team accomplish our goal was immeasurable. The positive vibe and amazingly energy she brings to every day is an asset that I wish more people had, and her enthusiasm for the things she believes in is an example for people of all ages to emulate.
